Bio

I hold a BA in English from Carnegie Mellon University and an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. I taught English as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan, the influence of which can be seen in most of my fiction and in my tea-drinking habit.

My books include the first two books and a novella in an epic fantasy series (The Heartfriends), a standalone contemporary fantasy (The Stroke of Thirteen), and a short-story collection (Empyrea & Other Stories). My short stories have appeared in various online magazines and anthologies. I'm also a screenwriter with an unproduced fantasy script under my belt.

I'm southwestern Pennsylvania born and bred and currently based in northeastern Ohio. When not writing or reading, I enjoy spending time outdoors (hiking, biking, and disc golfing), buildings models and doing crafts, and playing tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.

Find me on various social media, all linked on the right-hand side of this page, with more to come.

  1. Enjoyed your story in "Beautiful Lies, Painful Truths." It's the best one so far.
