I didn't like the way it was headed, they fell to the "Big Bad" trope. I never understood why shows aren't content to just stick with what has been working, instead introducing some all powerful, all knowing baddie the heroes have to drop everything to take down. But Killjoys seems to be working it netter than most. I'm not saying it's perfect, but for an independent production company, I'm impressed. Production values are a bit low and the acting is a bit hit and miss. The story line is based on a couple of old tropes. Despite that I liked it generally. I had a problem with the first near execution; Talon can take out a whole bar full of rowdy types but one measly guard can place her in the guillotine?
